Miss "M" made her First Holy Communion!

I can't tell you how thrilled I was to be able to witness and record this milestone in her life.
These pictures need no words, although a couple in particular were inspired by a couple of aunts with a bad influence.
She shared her dress with her sister.  Her veil was worn by one of her grandmothers at her wedding.  She's got a pearl bracelet pinned to her skirt (not allowed to wear jewelry) that belonged to her other grandmother.  Even her middle name comes from her ancestors.

I'm working on this one!  Her mom gave me the camera but I quickly delegated the job.  I need an assistant once in a while, so I might as well start her now!

A sneak peak at "M's" First Holy Communion...

I may be a little, well okay a lot, prejudiced, but I think she's a beautiful child, inside and out. Full of fun and always laughing.  I was successful, however in catching a little bit of the spiritual side of her for these portraits.

There will be more to come as soon as she's seen her album!

A black and white challenge!

day 1
 Black & White Challenge
I've been challenged to share a black and white image each day for five days, mentioning my challenger and also tagging others to join in. Denean Melcher and Marc Konchinsky tagged me into this challenge.
Thankfully the picture doesn't have to be new, but this one is newly edited!

Upside down.

Just love this little girl!

She was a willing model to help my practice my portrait skills.  We had overcast skies and drizzling rain, which kept us running for shelter and then walking back to finish our ideas.  She never complained.
Not once!

Introducing Lady "M"

This precious little girl was my first newborn shoot.  She didn't want to sleep and she's definitely NOT camera shy.  It's a good thing because Lady "M" just happens to be my great niece!
